The whole-week celebration finally ended on a beautiful early Sunday morning, when everyone went home with an ear-to-ear smile on their faces. At first, it must be really awkward to see people dancing in silence, with their headphones on, showing different colors; either red, green, or blue. But wait until you put yours on, too. You would be too busy picking one of the channels that you like the most. Blue was the code for the hip-hop & mash-up lovers, with DJ Slide & DJ Crip scratching the deck. Red belongs to DJ Downey & DJ Dipha Barus, which was one of the most picked channels between the three. And the last one, the green channel, was under the control of DJ Delizious Devina & DJ Remy Irwan, playing the “darkest” tunes that you could ever listen to that night.

Previously, on Friday, April 12, 2013, the crowd was very proud to witness one of the nation’s best DJs playing at Domain for the very first time ever. It was Indonesia’s very own Angger Dimas who made many people queued outside the club, waiting for a chance to get in since the house was fully-packed. The lighting ambience was all set to red, as red as the people who were completely on fire, dancing and headbanging to Dimas’ heart-pumping tracks. 1,5 hours was all that he need to burn the house down and make the people danced until dawn.

A day earlier, all of the Jakarta’s rising stars gathered under one roof, made it an unforgettable night for the party-groupies to see all of their idols performing together, sharing the stage on a night called Domain All Stars. Meet the stars; DJ I’AM and DJ Abi feat. Demmy, both from OldSchoolJunkie, Vein Bass’ very own DJ SLIM B & MC BAM, and DJ Bagolz & MC L.O.P. who both belongs to Syndicate. It was definitely a night of unity in diversity, or probably, unity of universities. It doesn’t matter, as long as you’re 18+ and always bring your valid ID.

Earlier on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, it was Felix Da Housecat’s turn to perform at the anniversary celebration. House is a part of his name, and of corse a part of his music, too. With the green lighting ambience set up all around the club, this American DJ who was once collaborated with Will.I.Am successfully made the crowd went crazy as if it was weekend already.

Moving backward to the previous day, the first day of the five nights of parties, the day when Domain did exactly the same thing like what Elton John and Robbie Williams did to celebrate their special moments: Sent The Cuban Brothers over from the UK, simply to entertain. And yes, it was literally entertaining! How hilarious could it be to see three people with latin accents endlessly mocking and dancing in tight dancing suits, and had one of them stripped down until a gold thong was the only thing that you could see! Put the blame on Miguel Mantovani (and his cute 18 y.o. son who really knows how to dance that he brought along with them), Archerio Mantovani, and Kengo-San who sucessfully kickstarted the party marathon!

And... the flashback is over. Domain 3rd Anniversary celebration was finally a wrap! We hope you had fun as much as we did. And hopefully, we have exploded all of your senses as well. Not only you heard the various genres of music that we served, but also you have seen the mystifying laser show and lighting ambience, smelt different kind of magnificent scents every night you enter the club, touched not only your phone screen or tab but the interactive bar that we specially set up along the week, and sipped different kind of signature cocktails that we have prepared for each of the five nights.

As wise men say, age is just a number. Three years old might be young enough for a man to live. But for Domain, three years old means strong enough to rock more nights with more unforgettable parties in the upcoming years. And yes, it’s still counting! Kemana perginya angka-angka yang berjejer pada lingkaran jam dinding? Waktu bagaikan pelari marathon yang berlari tanpa garis finish. Malam membisu sementara kami tetap bertanya. Apa yang sebenarnya dicari? Jika ia hanya kenikmatan sesaat, maka mengapa hanya sesaat yang tersisa? 

Kemana perginya kenikmatan yang dipuja layaknya berhala? Mungkin ia sedang duduk di sebuah sudut, dalam kegelapan, dan terkikik geli. Merasa dirinya buronan kelas kakap yang dicaci namun dicari sampai mati. Lantas mengapa para manusia tak kunjung sadar bahwa ia fana? Halusinogen bermuka seribu yang sewaktu-waktu bisa menjadi perempuan idaman hati, atau teman sehidup semati.

Biar waktu yang menjawab. Kata-kata klise orang bijak. Terlampau klise hingga tak ada lagi yang bisa membedakan antara ketulusan dan kepalsuan. Semua terbungkus rapi dalam wajah tersenyum yang menyimpan banyak arti. Pertaruhan hidup dan mati untuk memilih antara terjerumus atau menjerumuskan. Sebuah rumus yang tidak dipercayai. Teracuhkan. Malang. Namun pasti.

But you will have no good beer without good music. The live acoustic band performances on the main stage are for your eyes and ears to enjoy every night, while munching the famous Currywurst and many other German-European foods served by our finest kitchen.
